Help and support is available for people struggling with fuel and essential household debts This winter has been very cold and many people will be faced with large heating bills. Thanks to support from the EDF Energy Trust, we will be able to help local residents struggling with fuel and other household costs. Brixton Advice Centre recently launched a Fuel Poverty Programme in partnership with the EDF Energy Trust Charity.
The EDF Energy Trust makes non-repayable grants to reduce or clear gas and electricity debts to domestic customers of EDF Energy who are struggling to pay their fuel bills. Limited assistance is also provided for essential household costs with the aim of offering customers a fresh start so they can meet future commitments. We are offering assistance to people applying for an EDF Energy Grant and other fuel grants. We are also able to offer wider money advice support and Energy Efficiency advice as part of our commitment to helping clients to develop the skills and confidence needed to avoid financial difficulties.
